Application Guidelines:
1. Application deadlines:7 /12/2023 (All entries must be post marked by 7 December,2023).
2. Interview is required for all new applicants. All applicants must be 2 years old on or before
1 September of the new school year. All applicants must be one year old or above to attend the interview.
3. Successfully interview arrangements will be informed by phone 15 December 2023.
4. The interview will be conducted on either 11 November 2023 or 9 December 2023 for the 2024/2025 school year. Applicants who do not attend the interview may forfeit the opportunity to be considered for the applications.
5. Applicants must have all of the following original document
a).The Child’s Birth Certificate or Entitlement of Certificate
b).Department of Health Immunisation Record
c). Department of Health Records
d).Parent’s/Guardian’s Identity Card
e).Application Fee HK$40 on the days of the interview
Admission Criteria
1. Interview performance.
2. The applicant with sibling(s) currently studying or graduated in the school will be given due priority consideration.
3. The applicant from families in need will be given due priority consideration when applying for whole day / long whole day classes.
4. The applicant will be given due priority consideration for those who is studying nursery class
at Homantin Yang Memorial Methodist Pre-school for the 2024/2025 school year.
(As the number of school places is limited, please understand that not all applicants fulfilling the priority consideration will be guaranteed a school place.)
Interview Arrangements
1. The school will arrange interview for 50 applicants.
2. Interviews will be conducted in Cantonese. Families with non-Chinese speaking children can bring relatives and friends who understand Chinese to accompany them for an appointment.
3. Group interviews by observing during games will be arranged.
4. Parents should accompany their child for the interview( max 2 people).

Announcement of Admission Results
Successfully K1 admission results will be contacted by phone within one week after the interview.
Registration Arrangements
1. Successful applicants: Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child from 4 to 6 January 2024 (“Centralised Registration Dates”) by submitting the original of the “2024/25 RC” to the school and paying the registration fee.
2. Applicants on the waiting list: Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child according to the specified date set by the school. Parents are required to submit the original of the “2024/25 RC” to the school and pay the registration fee.
3. Please be reminded that if parents cannot submit the “2024/25 RC” during registration, the school may not be able to complete registration for their child. Hence, parents are required to submit application for the Registration Certificate to EDB within the specified period.
4. The registration fee for 2024/25K1 place is HK$1,570(Whole Day). Should parents decide to change school after registration, please notify the school in writing. The school will return the “2024/25RC” but the registration fee will not be refunded. Upon obtaining the “2024/25 RC”, the school will no longer keep the school place for the child.
Application for the “2024/25 Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission”
1. Education Bureau (EDB) have implemented the Free Quality Kindergarten Education policy starting from the 2017/18 school year to replace the existing “Pre-primary Education Voucher Scheme”. Under the new Scheme, EDB will use the “Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” as the document for registration in the 2024/25school year.
2. Parents are required to submit an application for the “2024/25 Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” (hereafter referred as “2024/25RC”) to EDB from September to November 2023. The “2024/25RC” will be open for applications in September 2023and EDB will announce and upload the details of application onto EDB’s website

2. All documents for the cancellation of registration will be destroyed immediately.
